Bark Identification Rubbings

Learn how to identify trees by their bark characteristics, with Peter Koch and Joe Otters. We will include bark rubbings for people who want to look at the texture of the bark. Kid-friendly!

Peter Koch has a degree in biology from Bard College, and a Master's in Zoology from the University of Maine as well as additional coursework in ecology at the University of Georgia.

Joe Otters has a degree in Biology from C.W. Post College where he also completed a year of Field Botany courses. In addition, he is a member of the Woodstock Environmental Commission (WEC) as well as the WEC liaison for the Woodstock Tree Committee and the Pollinator Pathway Group.
